Quitman Thomas Jr.

District Security, LLC's founder Quitman Thomas Jr. has over 20 years experience with the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Department and other law enforcement agencies. Quitman is also currently an active reserve deputy in Orleans Parish. Quitman is a graduate of St. Augustine High School and Xavier University of New Orleans. He is a professional on methods of security. While serving as a law enforcer in Orleans Parish he learned that certain safety precautions must always be taken to effectively protect your investments. His expertise and attention to detail positively impacts every job site District Security provides guards with.

April woods thomas

April Woods Thomas is the Chief Executive Officer of District Security, LLC. Prior to becoming involved with the security profession, Mrs. Thomas had a seventeen year tenure as Food and Beverage Supervisor at Audubon Zoo, where she was responsible for over 75 employees. With over twenty years of combined security experience at various levels, the Thomas family established District Security. Under April’s leadership and management, District Security has been recognized as a State and Local Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (SLDBE) with the City of New Orleans, Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and Harrah’s New Orleans Casino and Hotel.  District Security is also certified through the Housing Authority of New Orleans Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program.

Officers and staff

Most of our security officers and supervisors are experienced veterans, law enforcement officers and firemen who are highly trained, skilled, and accustomed to rapid response "Decision Making". They have the knowledge and expertise to react and respond appropriately to each individual security alert or situation. 

Our staff is the best qualified and trained which is why we give the Best Service in our community. Our staff is required to attend frequent team meetings and workshops which build strong work relationships and reduce employee turnover. The focus of our meetings and classes are to continually implement "State of The Art" training methods in areas of security, customer service, and safety procedures. 

These sessions are also designed to increase employee pride. At the conclusion of each of these classes our officers experience a heightened awareness of their value and importance to District Security, LLC and our client partners.
